Is Dar es Salaam worth visiting for AFCON 2027 or is it just a transit city?

Very much worth it. Dar has incredible seafood, a buzzing waterfront, and Zanzibar is a 2-hour boat ride away. It's more relaxed than Nairobi but that's a feature, not a bug. The Indian Ocean beach clubs alone make it worth a stay.

People sleep on Dar. Msasani Peninsula at sunset with fresh grilled lobster — easily one of my favourite places in Africa.
